The Twin Parish Port Commission in Delcambre, Louisiana
announced today that it is giving notice pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C)
of the Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Twin
Parish Port District will be held at its regular meeting place at City Hall,
located at 109 North Railroad Street, Delcambre, La., on Tuesday, July 12, 2016
at 6:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without
further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after
reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s
maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next tax
year from the increased millage is $546,370.20 for the four mill assessment and
the increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $7,383.85. The
estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next tax year from the
increased millage is $136,592.55 from the one mill assessment and the increase
in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $1,845.96.
