Building a Working Waterfront

The Port of Delcambre must adapt to a changing economy, from a commercial fishing community to the establishment of a fishing and tourism working waterfront while maintaining ties to its shrimping heritage.

State Invests $19 Million in Fisheries Infrastructure according to LRA Press Release

LRA Press Conference

The Louisiana Recovery Authority held a press conference in Delcambre on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 to announce grant awards under its Fisheries Infrastructure Program. (LRA Announcement) Delcambre will receive $2.2 million on its project request to build a commercial fishing docking facility, an open air seafood market, a fishing and observation pier, and a recreational boat launch and parking.
